Pilates 121
The one-on-one interaction in these sessions offers excellent results and are perfect if:
You have never experienced Pilates and would like to build up a bit of confidence in what you are doing before you join a term of group classes.
You have ongoing medical conditions, are recovering from an injury, pregnancy, have a back, neck, shoulder issue, or you have been seeing a health professional regularly for treatment and they have now recommended Pilates. It is always recommended that you seek their advice as to whether there are any specific movements that you should avoid.
If you are pregnant and looking for a carefully planned exercise programme.
Simply because you prefer a more individual approach to group classes.
To supplement any group classes that you attend already, so that you can improve and feel the benefits of Pilates more quickly.
Pilates for Pregnancy
Pilates is hugely beneficial for expectant Mums as it can significantly reduce some of the common problems that can be associated with pregnancy, such as back pain. It helps to strengthen the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor, which in turn helps to support the weight of the baby and maintain good posture.
Pilates in the Workplace
Pilates is great for anyone who sits at a desk all day or spends long periods of time on their feet. Many workplaces now organise activities such as Pilates classes as part of a wellness programme, and all that is needed is an open space where furniture can be moved easily.
Classes can be organised on a regular basis, taster sessions, or perhaps as part of a ‘healthy living week’ campaign. It could easily be in the form of a restorative break over lunchtime or a great way to release tension at the end of the working day.
If you are an employer, an HR manager or an employee who would like some more information about setting up Pilates in the workplace please just get in touch.
